GURDWARA SRI CHARAN KANWAL SAHIB is situated in The Banga Town of Nawanshahar Distt. GURDWARA SAHIB is situated on left hand side on the main road while going towards Nawanshahar town. SRI GURU HARGOBIND SAHIB JI after winning the last battle of Kartarpur defeating Painde Khan came here. At that time along with GURU SAHIB was SRI GURU HARRAI SAHIB JI, BABA GURDITTA JI, SRI GURU TEGBAHADUR JI (all were in their childhood) and Mata Nanaki ji. GURU SAHIB JI stayed here for almost one month and his wounded horse suhela was also undergoing treatment here. On the name of Bhai jina ji this place was named Jindowal. Maharaja Ranjit singh ji got Gurdwara sahib constructed here in the memory of SRI GURU HARGOBIND SAHIB JI.
