GURDWARA SRI TARUANA SAHIB is situated in Village Maluka, Teh Rampura Phull, Distt Bathinda. SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI stopped here while coming from Lambhwali after spending the afternoon. GURU SAHIB stayed here at "Maluke Da tobha". Tents were pitched and they stayed for night. In the morning Local sardar Maluka came here for GURU SAHIB's darshan. Singhs stopped him and didnt allowed to have GURU SAHIB's darshan. But Still he tried to enter the tent forcibly. Bhai Bhagu Singh attacked him with sword. That person fell unconscious. After few hours when he was awake, He asked Singh "Bhai Sahib i have very less breathes left, Please let me have GURU SAHIB's darshan." Listening this GURU SAHIB came outside the tent. He bowed in front of GURU SAHIB and kissed GURU SAHIB's feet. GURU SAHIB asked if you want to live should i make you fit and fine again. He said GURU SAHIB please allow him to leave for Sachkhand Sahib. I am blessed that in my end time i have your glimpse. GURU SAHIB put his hand on malukas head and he left for heavenly abode. GURU SAHIB set him free from cycle of life and death and gave him name of Taran taaran. and after that this place was known as Gurudwara Shri Taruana Sahib.
