| GURDWARA GURIANA SAHIB is situated in Village Valla on the Bai pas Road, Amritsar City. SHRI GURU TEGBAHADUR SAHIB had come on a visit to the Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar, from Baba Bakala. But the masands shut the doors against him. GURU SAHIB sat outside the Harmandir sahib (GURUDWARA SHRI THARA SAHIB, situated on the Back side of Akal Takhat Sahib) for some time and departed saying "The masands of Amritsar are burning with die fire of ambition,". From there GURU SAHIB came to place where GURUDWARA SHRI DAMDAMA SAHIB is situated and took rest for a night. Next day GURU SAHIB left further and stayed at this place, this place was Mai Haro Ji's fields. Mai Haro Ji brought 8 Rotis for her workers. When She saw GURU SAHIB sitting, she asked Bhai Makhan Shah Ji, who he was. Bhai Makhan Shah Ji said that he is ninth Guru SHRI GURU TEGBAHADUR SAHIB. Mai Haro ji offered GURU SAHIB food. GURU SAHIB told her to first give the food to the workers for who she had brought. When Mai Haro Ji checked, there were 12 rotis instead of 8. She was surprised to see this. From here Mai Haro Ji invited GURU SAHIB to her house. Accepting her invitation GURU SAHIB stayed at Mai Haro's House for 17 days at village Valla.
